Whale Day

Description: Whale Day is an exhibit based program that takes place in a gymnasium or cafeteria. It has multiple large exhibits including real whale bones, baleen, and teeth. The stations are interactive and allow students to explore the size of whales, as well as anatomy, feeding habits, blubber, research techniques, and identification. It also includes a 42 foot long inflatable model right whale!

Additional information (if any): Program is appropriate for grades 1-8. This program requires 10-12 parent volunteers. Program fee includes a sponsorship of a North Atlantic Right Whale.

Programs are 45 minutes long with 15 minute breaks between programs. Each session can accommodate up to 60 students.
