Hello Holography!

Description: Students experiment with light and perception to investigate the basic principles behind real-world holography. Through a series of demonstrations and hands-on activities, students will learn how holograms are made and viewed. The properties and behavior of light waves will also be discussed, from reflection (middle school focus) to diffraction and interference (high school students only).

Each holography workshop is 2 hours long and includes a tour of the Museum's holography gallery. Workshops are offered year-round at the MIT Museum, Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm.

Fee Information: $325/25 students; 1 chaperone/8 students required (admitted free)
Limited scholarships available for Title 1 groups and others that can provide documentation of need.
