Description: Massachusetts is home to seven different species of owls, found in habitats as diverse as urban areas, saltmarshes, and pockets of boreal forest. In this one hour program, students closely examine a large collection of natural artifacts to make careful observations, pose meaningful questions, and gain first-hand knowledge of the physical adaptations that help owls survive and lend them an air of mystery. The program concludes with a live animal encounter featuring two owls.
