Description: Students will be introduced to the group of birds known as owls. Through an interactive PowerPoint presentation, students will learn the distinctive characteristics of owls compared to other birds and wildlife. Students will be introduced to a number of local owls and some of their characteristics. A variety of participatory learning exercises including role-playing and observation will be included to help students gain an understanding of owl identification, behavior, and adaptations.
